Demand visas for Olga and Adriana!
Use this form to send emails to Attorney General Eric Holder, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, demanding the granting of visas to Olga Salanueva and Adriana Perez
Your name: Email address: Street address (optional): City (optional): State: Zip: Country: Subject: Your message: Feel free to put the message in your own words Olga Salanueva Arango, wife of Rene Gonzalez, and Adriana Perez O’Connor, wife of Gerardo Hernandez, have been denied permission by the U.S. government to visit their husbands in prison for almost 9 and 11 years, respectively. Outrageously, Salanueva was informed that her denial is "permanent." These two women, upstanding and productive citizens of their country of Cuba and no threat to the national security of the United States, must be immediately permitted to visit their husbands on humanitarian grounds. People in the United States and around the world are aware of their situation. There is no justifiable reason to keep these couples and families separated. The U.S. Supreme Court, pursuant to the decision of Overton vs. Bazzetta, June 16, 2003, has held that the state cannot interfere with the right of spouses to visit a prisoner. I respectfully request that you reverse the "permanent denial" of entry rights to Olga Salanueva, and immediately grant entry rights into the United States to these two women: 1. Adriana Perez O’Connor, wife of Gerardo Hernandez, req. #58739-004, who is currently in U.S.P Victorville, California, and 2. Olga Salanueva Arango, wife of Rene Gonzalez, req. #58738-004, who is currently in F.C.I. Marianna, Florida. I am also concerned about the lengthy delays in granting of visas to family members of the other prisoners who are part of the same case known publicly as “the Cuban Five.” The men are Fernando Gonzalez (aka Ruben Campa), #58733-004; Ramon Labanino, (aka Luis Medina), #58734-004, and Antonio Guerrero, #58741-004. I hope you will review this matter favorably and grant entry visas into the United States for the family members of the five men. My appeal is in the interest of an overriding humanitarian issue, that of maintaining the integrity of a family. Sincerely,
